Julie + Ian

We got married in 2016 in Halifax. We love our Bernese Mountain Dog, Evie, our home in Oakfield, travelling, good wine and good friends. We love chasing the best sunrises & sunsets for photos, always looking for the best light, and capturing moments to last forever.

Ian & I are both originally from the Halifax/Dartmouth area. We met in 2014 RBC where we both worked. Ian is still there, as a Financial Planner, and I am a full time photographer with his encouragement, support & time! He encouraged me to pursue my dream when we met, and so even though I’ve been shooting for nearly 15 years, I started my business in 2016. I have a degree from Saint Mary’s University & Mount Saint Vincent University & am a Mortgage Specialist as well!

We got married in 2016 and it was the best day ever! If we were to do it again, we’d most likely do a destination with super close family and friends in Italy or New Zealand and just pay for a really nice photographer and a nice meal! So if anyone wants to do a wedding like that - I’m game!! Hehe. Since then, we’ve travelled to countless countries together, four continents, got one dog, owned two houses (one we built!) and we love having adventures.

Our favourite things include Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, watching Netflix in general, traveling, and relaxing whether it’s on a patio for food or a vineyard for some wine! I say our because we really do both enjoy those things! We have a lot in common and it helps us run a business together :)

We pride ourselves on making your wedding day as stress free and as much fun as we can! Our photographing style is to capture images that are timeless, light and airy, and capture the emotion of the day. We look forward to working with you and learning a bit more about you!
